Patriots win Saturday and the Chiefs can probably forget about a first round bye, while a Pats loss would totally open the door for the Chiefs, thus, hypothetically, giving them considerably more motivation.
Chiefs currently -5 but the +103 I got shortly after opening is now gone and I see -119 (both for the -5). Regardless of Saturday's result, I'd expect the usual Chiefs steam to see this hit at least -6 by kickoff.
By most metrics I see, Bears pass defense is slightly worse than the Broncos and Mahomes looked rather groovy last Sunday, even in the poor conditions. Chiefs pass D has been great and they may have as much fun against slappy-pass-happy Trubisky as the Packers did (MVP Mitch was 29/53 with 1 TD, 2 INT, sacked 3 times for 15 yards).
As for the Patriots, it's tough to call a loss for them Saturday. Bills play calling was a little conservative vs the Steelers and it almost cost them, IMO. If it's a tight game, as expected by the total, Brady and Belichick are a considerably safer bet than Hodges and Tomlin were last week. Hard to give the Bills better than a 40% chance to win this, probably closer to 30%.
Probably a no-brainer on the original question. As mentioned, Chiefs will likely be steamed regardless.
Good luck, all.
