...is Hockey the most irritating sport right now. I usually don't complain but just wondering if I was alone on this. I just can't believe how FAST these scores change....literally in a blink of an eye. It's like these teams score 3 goals in a matter of minutes. I'm checking this Sharks/Kings game tonight and the Sharks go up 2-0 then the Kings come back and are up 3-2.....then literally five minutes later the Sharks are up 4-3??? Has this sport changed this much with the rules?? Maybe I'm missing something..... just don't remember it being like this.Comments are welcome.

the new nhl sux. its not hockey. while its attempt to draw in new viewers might succeed as scoring increases, it will lose its core base and ultimately fail. not even sure why there are defenders anymore. the rules prevent them from defending.

i hope they go on strike again until the playoffs. then let them play

Yep, Blues up 2-0 then Ducks scored 4 unanswered goals in 2nd period. IMO I kinda like it with a LOT of scoring......not those boring 2-1 game or 1-1 ending up in tie.

The new NHL has already won me over.

I don't mind the scoring either...just gotta get used to it, but I do like seeing low scoring grind'm out games though. Just like baseball when you have a pitching duel going instead of your 9-8 games.

Agreed - the scoring is ok - but every game is a high scoring affair. The one thing I don't miss is the trap....

scoring is always good to watch, some of the new rules are good, got to change the front of the net defense, no protection for the goalies, lot of pp but it will change soon, people just have to realize you can't use you sticks to hook or tie up another player, league really sucks right now but hoping it will get better, just don't enjoy watching garbage teams win cause of their pp, that's not skill when you can score on the other team when they have one less player.

nothing is perfect...........but I'll take this NHL of goals goals goals....then when a team would be up 2-0 heading into the 3rd and then you knew the game was over.........not perfect but I like it!!

The refs need to lighten up when an infraction happens in front of the net. Call it tight in the neutral zone, during transition, but let it go a bit in front of the net because guys are getting free runs and whacks at goaltenders.

The way it is now, I'd just stick 4 forwards and 1 defensemen as my standard alignment if I were a coach with even a little depth at F. Screw it, my D can't do anything except shoot, might as well get my best shooters on the ice for as long as possible.

Anyway, I enjoy the hockey still. As long as there are chances, that's what I enjoy, whether it's 2-1 or 6-5, lots of chances means lots of excitement for me. The BOS/TOR game a few days ago, lots of chances, goalies played amazing, but the game was still great, final score: 2-1
