Apparently you aren't the only one who thinks he is not funny. From Wikipedia:


Hart's first gig was at The Laff House in Philadelphia under the name of Lil Kev, which didn't go well. His career suffered a slow start, as he was booed off stage several times, once even having a piece of chicken thrown at him.

His standup might be average, but he's in obvious demand as an actor, appearing in 3 blockbuster movies and commercials with Lebron. I'd say he's doing pretty well for himself. I think he's funny as an actor. Most standup comedians transition well into acting for whatever reason. Jim Carey, Tom Hanks, Robin Williams, Steve Martin etc etc....
