I'm not sure if this topic was previously discussed, but I thought it would be interesting.
Is there one team in particular that when you wager on never covers? And then when you wager against them they can do no wrong? Basically, they always screw you!
I was thinking about this the other night. My nemesis is George Washington. When I take them they stink and when I bet against them they play like the 1976 Indiana Hoosiers and shoot the lights out!
And I was also thinking about individual players that kill me. It's got to be Benito Santiago. For as long as I can remember that guy has hit more grand slams and three-run homers to either win the game for his team or crush my UNDER play. Then, when I need him to come through for me....WHAM...6-4-3 DP.
I wish that guy would retire!

I absolutely cannot bet any game where both teams begin with the letter T. Texas, Texas Tech, Tulane, Temple...etc ....if any of these two teams are playing each other, I might as well flush my money down the toilet.

I've got two of those teams... My home town Vancouver Canucks... and the Charlotte Hornets....

Can never seem to win when I bet for them and always win when I bet against them..

The team that gets me is the Dallas Cowgirls. Every game they play is televised here, so if you bet on the game, you get to watch it live. If I bet for them, they play like a high school junior varsity team. If I bet against them, they look like they are Super Bowl contenders. If I play the under, they go to a heavy passing game. If I play the over, Emmitt gets the ball everytime.

Syracuse University named one of their buildings after me.

It's called "buddy's Graduate School of Ya' Shoulda' Known Better."

I have lost with Georgia Tech ever since the Syracuse game when they had the ball on the 1 inch line of Syracuse and they kneed the ball instead of running it in to cover the spread. I should of learned my lesson from that game on never to take GTech, bur Iam an idiot and did anyway and it cost me.

University of Kentucky football or basketball. I never got a football game right with these guys this year, not one. So far I'm a perfect ofer with the basketball team as well. And I follow them closely. Of course, I'm the world's worst capper as I've said many times before.

In years past it was also the Steelers, especially on Monday Nights, but I seem to have overcome that jinx by merely betting ON the Steelers anytime they're on national TV.

Miami dolphins, take against them and there supposed talented defense plays as it should. Bet on them and you wonder if Wannstedt does any pregame preparation, and there defense makes no plays and gets no pressure on the QB!

Also 49'ers deserve honorable mention, they always kill me, because there games are decided usually in the last 30 seconds.

This is an interesting topic. Personally, I find that things like this go in cycles for me. The thing that burns my a$$ is that I continue to bet on or against these teams! For me, it has to be the Cleveland Browns in NFL. They always ram me. NCAA Foots definitely has to be Tennessee. I can't even count how many times I've been burnt by them. In hoops, it seems like so far this year it's the Nets and the Knicks. I can call them right as long as I'm not betting the game they're playing. So, my philosophy is that I try to stay away from these teams unless I really do my homework and feel very strong. In the end, I think it's just superstition and coincidence. New England used to be my stickler in the NFL and now I feel comfortable playing them. It's one big cycle. Don't let it get you down!

Stag,

GW could kill anyone. I've never seen a team blow so many double-digit leads with only a minute to two minutes to go. It's unbelievable. I've gotten burned on them a couple times this year, ODU to name one major catastrophe. But I think I've got them figured out.... sure as hell won't back them if they're laying points to people -- they could let the little sisters of the poor back into the game. But as a dog they're going to surprise some people with a much improved backcourt and playcalling that can take advantage of it.

good luck with your picks.

Gotta be the damn Oakland Faiders. Hated that team long before I ever started betting and needless to say nothing has changed now. Couldn't cover a super teaser line against Arizona (which lost 3 bets for me...THANKS GUYS!!!) Couldn't cover a regular teaser this week vs. KC -- 3 more bets lost THANKS AGAIN. Lost to my CRAP ASS Seahawks. Gee only 2 bets lost on that one. LMAO Also lost last-second to Miami early in the year. Time to stop playing Oakland games? YEAH I THINK SO! Obviously they are nowhere near as good as I thought.

100% with you here, Red. Hardest bunch of pansies to figure out. How right you are! Bet on them they lose, bet against them they smoke your ass. With that said...I'm going with them this weekend against Seattle.

Defense has been playing great. Offense is not asking rookie QB to do much... Ol' Campo has this group playing hard each week. Go COWGIRLS!
