that Kendrick f'ing Perkins?????

Horrible offensive game, turnover waiting to happen, contributes little to no rebounding and a completely overrated defender

OKC's only chance is when he is not on the floor - don't know why this guy ever sees the court

surprised that others don't share my sentiments towards kperkins game

and there are probably some players riding other teams' benches that might suck more, but for the fanfare that this guy gets and for the credit that he seems to give himself, he really does flat out suck

gl to all tonight - burns

whenever they throw him the ball I find it absolutely hilarious. its a circus.

i do feel like Doc got a lot more out of him than Brooks does though...Defensively he seemed to make more of an impact in Boston. and they used him to kind of be the enforcer, which doesnt really fit with the OKC team.

In the 58 minutes that the starting lineup for the Thunder have played together in this series, their offensive rating has been 75 and their defensive rating 95.2, for a net of -20.2. The Thunder's second most used lineup has been Collison, Durant, Fisher, Jackson, and Martin (extremely small), and they have a net rating of +11.9, but have only been utilized for 21 minutes in this series. Of all lineups that have been used together for more than 8 minutes in this series, Perkins is involved in 4 of them, and three of the four have negative net ratings.

He is an offensive liability, and has been getting shredded by Gasol. Not sure there is really any "answer" in the whole league for Gasol, much less in this series, but at least Collison provides some offense on the other end. Most likely, the Thunder just need to go really small and hope they can outscore the Grizzlies, as they have no chance at stopping Gasol or Randolph.

if JR Smith had his head on straight he could be a top 5 player in the NBA, he is that talented

if Kendrick Perkins had his head on straight he would still suck miserably

this guy is truly reaching new depths of terribleness - i'm not sure that there is any precedent for his current level of play at this stage in the NBA playoffs, or potentially in NBA history

Since the NBA/BAA playoffs started (1946), Perkins has the worst PER of any player that played over 200 minutes in the playoffs, and the only player ever to post a negative rating: -0.7

Congrats, Perkins!

thanks for the info HH

the eye test made it seem that he was the worst player in the history of the playoffs but nice to know that the stats back that assertion up -

thabeet must have real issues to not be able to crack that lineup - and Brooks never did learn his lesson in this series, pretty amazing to me - as a matter of fact Brooks did a horrible job in this series on most fronts, but imo if he would have left Perkins out of the equation from the start this series would still be alive for OKC

really just glad I don't have to watch this perkins trainwreck anymore, although at times last night his play was laugh-out-loud funny, esp his inbounds pass directly to Memphis in the 2nd quarter I think

They had a great +- rating when Thabeet was on the floor. Even though he looks like he can't walk and chew gum at the same time, why not try something else? Perkins just such a non-factor offensively it was like playing 4 on 5 and the Thunder had horrible floor spacing when he was in, which created a lot of stagnation and ended with bad looks for Durant.

Brooks was the worst coach left in the playoffs in this round - he has been carried by the great talent that he has. OKC definitely had a shot in this series, as every single game was within 5 points within the last 5 minutes, but Brooks never made good adjustments.

Cheers
