At the start of the series The Yanks and Sox WERE even in every category except for the most important.....Starting Pitching.

Now with Schilling hurting, i feel that advantage is now gone. The sox have no shot IMO.

The reason why the Sox were favorite in the first place was because they are the publics team. EVERYONE HATES THE YANKEES AND WANTS TO SEE THEM GET KNOCKED OFF. Vegas was playing right into those people by making the Sox a fave to begin with.

Isnt it funny how no one had the yanks yesterday!?? Yet they own this team.

YANKS IN 5

You better believe I did..........and you know I have em tonight since the Yanks own Pedro

2 weeks ago this man said, "THE YANKEES ARE MY DADDY!!"

Stadium crowd will be all over him with the "Who's your Daddy!" chant!!!

Yanks +1.5 -115 is the play

#1........the last 50 games have gone like 25 wins 25 losses for the Yankees.......NOT EXACTLY OWNING AT TEAM ONLY WINNING 50% of the games.....

#2..........this year alone they are 9 wins and 11 losses..........THIS IS OWNING A TEAM WHEN YOU DONT EVEN HAVE A WINNING RECORD AGAINST THEM

So you are gonna tell me that the Yanks dont have a mental edge (i.e. - own) over the red sox?????

Give me all the stats you want, Red Sox will not win this series.....especially with a gimpy Schilling.

Its October.....ITS YANKEE BASEBALL TIME!!

Everyone overlooked the Yanks this year, all they wanted to talk about was their lack of starting pitching. everyone conviniently forgot their 2000 pound Grizzly Bear of a line-up.

I would never bet on a guy who 2 weeks before utterred the words, "The Yankees are my Daddy." If you feel comfortable betting that guy, your a better man than I am i guess

Lets see.........are you talking about the last 3 octobers when

2001........they lost to Arizona in WS
2002........they lost to Anaheim in alcs
2003........they lost in 6 to a Florida team who they had home field advantage on and remember Florida was coming off a hard seires with the Cubs(just as hard if not harder than the Yanks-Sox series was) so I dont buy the excuse that the Yankees were flat......thats just a bs excuse

The truth is the Yankees have not won anything for a while now.........start talking about October time when they close the deal.......

I am far from a Yankee hater...........I just think these teams are pretty even.

I agree the Yanks have had some great success against Boston but we are talking about this year..........again I think these teams are pretty damn evenly matched...........I think all the figures prove that point..............

I'm not a Pedro or Boston fan...but he pitched a good game last night. He was extended to 113 pitches which for him is high. The yankees do dominate boston when Pedro pitches but it usually is not because they hit him hard...sometimes...but not usually.

he pitched an average game at best, 3 runs in 6 innings is not good unless you're pitching for the cardinals since they score tons of runs. 4.50 era is pretty lousy if you ask me.

Thats the whole idea. His pitch count was in the mid 40's by the second inning. He pitched well and they still beat him. They have his number. God forbid they start him in place of Shelling in game 5 on 3 days rest.

Rest of the series goes like this

Yanks lose a low scoring game tommorow
They win Saturday and Sunday

YANKS IN 5!!!

1918!

Someone is sick in the head in the Red Sox Organization. With full knowlege that Schilling had a torn tendon, which they kept a secret, they still started him in game one.

They are A-Holes and deserve to lose .The Red Sox Organization just plain suck for what they did to the public and the betting public.

FAWK THEM
