Probably with the election, this news isn't getting the worldwide attention it deserves. But the greatest rock band in the history of rock and roll is finally releasing their latest studio release 12 years in the making. Sadly only a shell of the band remains, but the worlds greatest frontman is once again going into the limelight. Most of the tracks have been on youtube for years, Madagascar being my personal favorite. This will be the first album I've bought in years. And don't give me your zepplin, stones, or beatles chit.....GN'R blows em all away.

Chinese Democracy" will be released on November 23, a Sunday, exclusively through Best Buy.

I expect to see all of you camped out in line by November 20th at the latest.

On the course!
Maybe they'll keep with tradition, and "keep the audience waiting", by pushing back the date?

too bad Steven Adler won't be able to sit next to you in line...:mj07:

they made one Super fucking bad album that is one of my top 5 all time, but they are far from a great band...go see a Motley show when they come to town...now that is a GREAT band that still rocks after 25 years

and if you think Axl is a great frontman I want what you're smoking...when was the last time you seen him live???

you should have just stopped when you said GN'R blows...

it wouldn't surprise me in the least if this gets pushed back.

I've seen them four times and all four times even though the concert supposed to start way earlier they've never taken the stage before 11:30 or midnight.........too much brownstone i suppose

I have to disagree.

ANY band that gives you pause, and makes you go out and get their shit, is great in your mind. That's why musical taste can't fairly be argued.

I don't care for plenty of music....others will love it. I can't say they are WRONG for liking it, any more than I can realisticly chide someone for liking a flavor of ice cream that I don't.

I was fairly "old school" when AFD came out, but I heard the first couple tracks on the radio and MTV and picked up the disc. (I RARELY buy CDs!)

I can honestly say it is one of the few CDs/albums where I like almost every single song.

At the time when pop "hair bands" were ripping up the scene, these guys brought back a heavier sound that was a little bit old school, but still had a fresh stamp on it. I didn't fall in love with them, but I respected the hell out of the effort put forth on that disc!

IMO....they reached "great band" status based on that, and a few ensuing songs.

Speaking of Steven Adler, I saw old "popcorn" on celebrity rehab last week. What a sad fock he's become!

Even the name "Chinese Democracy" is something entirely different in meaning now than when the name was first whispered.

I'll get the album, but . . . old people suck at rock music

That was harsher than intended. Unfortunately I believe that all people who don't appreciate the greatness of GNR suck....hence you fall into that category. Let me rephrase that imo you don't suck but your taste in music does. Please put me back in the xmas card list.

Actually BDB, I saw Vince about a month ago in Mansfield Mass..He had become a fat slob, but it was the best he sounded in over 15 years to me and he' no longer F-A-T--He tours more than any other person of that era---when Motley takes time off, he goes out solo, it's what he loves doing I guess...

Mick on the other hand, is in rough shape, but sounds great. I would really suggest if you get a chance to go see them. It's a killer show. Don't buy Saints of LA it is not that good but the title track is pretty sweet and Mf'er of the year is good, but there a couple fillers on the CD that really bring it down. As far as Cruefest goes, there were a couple great bands on the circuit with them (Sixx AM and Buckcherry were awesome!!!).

I am rooting for the Gunners, but I didn't like anything from them after Appetite...

:iagree:

I did hear a cut off the new album while driving home the other day and I was wondering who it was because it was pretty good and I hadn't heard the tune before. i was shocked to learn it was G n R, but then i remembered that the band actually has a real musician in it now--Tommy Stinson....:D
