start to downsizing gov/ cutting debt
[.

I guess that will put more people on unemployment and food stamps and we will have to pay for their health care too. And of course they won't be working so they won't be putting money back in the economy.....Ya that out to work!

A start to what?
The Republican agenda is clear. It's no longer about jobs. It's about cutting and slashing.

That doesn't mean the Post Office doesn't need to downsize. They do. But there's no reason to cheer the loss of 120,000 middle-class jobs (like Dogs).

Just thinking out loud, or in type, if you will. I do not know the answer to this but it might be cheaper to keep them because we have to pay them one way or the other. At least if they are working they are being productive and feeding the economy. If times were normal I would be all for downsizing but if they do not have a chance of getting another job what's the sense. I am for downsizing by attrition but cannot see adding to the unemployment rolls at this point.

A better start would be getting Health Care Costs under control.

Maybe we could turn them into insurance sales people? At least they wouldn't need anymore education or re-training. It doesn't take much to teach someone how to cheat and lie.

No, you a, ar, a, are n, not, covered f, f, f for, th. th. that.

No idea what you're babbling about, Dogs. If you'll notice, my join date reads Mar/2008.

As far as the current unemployment rate goes, I've already said the Obama stimulus plan was misguided and failed to deliver the goods -- jobs.

But you Obama haters think there never should have been a stimulus bill so where's your jobs plan? Oh, that's right... continue the Bush tax cuts. We see how well that's working. :mj07:

At the rate we were losing jobs under the Bush Administration -- 750,000 -- per month, if Bush were still in office, Dogs, your little insurance office probably would have been long closed. On the other hand, failure often brings opportunity -- perhaps some entreprenuer would have converted it to something recession-proof, like an adult peep-show with live girls and given you first shot at jiz-mopper.

Nobody is making excuses for Obama u partisan jackass. He is to blame for continuing these right wing asinine policy's. Unfortunately, guys like you and Dogs think he was handed a wonderful hand like Bush was. We were losing 750 thousand jobs when he got in office. He wasn't handed a surplus. That is the reality of the situation. Instead of worrying about getting this country back on the right track all u assholes care about is getting another Republican in office. Another guy who's rotten policies of trickle down economics which has started this mess. It has been proven over and over again that it just doesn't work but the two of u are so blinded by the 100 people who are on welfare, that your opinions are basically worthless. Since I joined this site I haven't found one guy who leans left, support welfare. Somehow u brain dead ass hats think anyone who disagrees with u are on welfare. Your masters realize it is a great way to divide weak minded people. Racist redneck hicks who can't realize they are being played. How anyone could be against welfare but for oil subsidy's is flat out amazing

You liberals are wanting to put add 23 million illegals to the tab and worried bout cutting gov a few employees
Liberal logic at its finest.

case in point--Gumby has his illegal family here--on the gov executive package-
-Income-free food-paid housing free medical card.

How was that JT
--I see your from CA--hows that tax & spend-illegal amnesty-gov regs out the wazzoo treating ya all out there.

I can understand your panic if you are gov employee in CA. Your bonds are verge of defaulting--your pensions insolvent--taxes out the roof-companies exiting at record pace--

Now my question for you-
-have you figured out why yet?:0003

I am sure all your farm workers out in Kentucky are all legal eh Doggie? By the way, this 'liberal' doesn't want to legalize all the immigrants.
Speaking of gov. workers the border patrol has been increased under Gumby's watch. This meet with your approval?
As for California, yes it is a mess but will survive. I am still employed but it isnt for the 'state.' Thanks for your concern.

The SIX long years the Republicans had the White House and congress, as well as a national cry to secure our borders after 9-11. What did they do to stop the illegals?
