Damn old school you really hate this man, no doubt. He didn't create the virus. What do you suggest doing? If you have the podium with POTUS under you, what are you doing ?
I would have fired the Pandemic Response Team in 2018 because Obama created it. I would've downplayed its existence and said it's under control. I would've called it a hoax. Then, I would have put a guy that doesn't believe in science in charge. From there, I'd further downplay the situation and go on Twitter to pat myself on the back for the quick response. Then, I'd piss my pants while visiting the CDC.

The poor response, yes. He downplayed it hoping it would go away so the market wouldn't react negatively. Now it sees a serious problem with worldwide implications, a fast-paced local spread, and a leader that can't be trusted at the helm.

You should call Barry, he did such a great job with H1N1, Whats his nuts keeps copy pasting this same BS from Cnn . Trump shut travel down quickly and you guys ragged on him for being racist. Probably saved thousands of cases from starting. Stop your whining.
If you read through the timeline and think Trump handled the situation adequately, there really isn't much to discuss. We disagree and you can explain why but I don't know why you have to throw in the insults.
We can't really control the origin of disease, just the response. If you want to blame China, go for it, but I think the USA shouldn't pass the buck when it comes to our own actions (or lack there of).
Nothing personal with insults, I promise. It was my poor attempt at a blanket statement, but the thing Trump and our Medical minds had was that the people dying were older and for the most part sick already, and healthy individuals were getting past it fine. Similarly, 60,000 annually die from the flu each year, and that is a fact. So, now that there are more test kits, more testing, etc. there will be more positive results. But now we know more, and we all have to deal with it. Should 100% of ALL travel have stopped two weeks ago? Is that what you would have done? Again, not getting into an argument, this is why I hate all politics and politicians that participate. They all truly suck, yet get rich doing it on their salaries, especially those in it for their lifetime.

President Obama declared H1N1 a Public health emergency on April 2009 with only 28 cases reported in the United States and prior to it even being classed a pandemic.
Trump's lack of understanding and concern has absolutely nothing to do with previous administrations.
