good doctor- A 6 team parlay pays 40 to 1... now factor in that the monley lines are all -500 and up... it almost makes for even money.

50 bucks is only 50 bucks. Winning 29k is almost 600 to 1, but people spent more money than that on power ball at 180k to 1, granted the payout on that was a little more.
