Maybe the start of a trend, but I wouldn't read too much into this. Ivy league sports - especially football - are largely an afterthought for those institutions and really only have meaning for the alumni (and us degenerate gamblers of course). If there already weren't going to be fans in attendance, there was little incentive to play the season.
In 3 weeks I think we'll know for sure. If baseball starts as planned on the 24th and the NBA and NHL follow - I think college and pro football will be a lock. If the plug gets pulled on one, I think the other 2 dominoes fall quickly (just as they did in March) and then any major sports before a vaccine becomes unlikely.
Basically, 2020 will not have team sports.
:sadwave:
The NRL and Super Rugby have been going strong for weeks, some teams have had 40,000 fans in the seats cheering on their team.
You see.....other countries out there didn't believe the virus was a hoax, hence why some can have fans in the seats and shit.
Plenty of team sports at the highest level going on right now, just not much in the USA.
I feel fairly sure that football will either be pushed to the spring or cancelled all together for college.
2 day ban for believing corona is real on an American website. You see.....other countries out there didn't believe the virus was a hoax, hence why some can have fans in the seats and shit.
2 day ban for believing corona is real on an American website.
That seems fair.
:0003 Looks like the Big 10 believes your hoax too, the rest of the 'pussies' will soon follow.
