Trying to make sense of this game.
It means so much to both teams, division title, homefield and alot more on the line.
Just looking at the raw numbers this season.
CAROLINA
#13 offense
#8 defense
TAMPA BAY
#22 offense
#3 defense
Both teams are strong ranking wise outside of tampa's offense, which is better than the raw numbers due to an improved ST and jerry jeff's low INT %.
However, its very clear that BOTH TEAMS play defense at a better rate than they play offense.
BOTH teams will struggle to run the ball IMO.
Carolina allows 4.1, TB 3.8 ypc.
Unless there is a big special teams score, defensive TD or the Dark Jedi (Steve Smith) absolutely goes OFF, then this game is wayyy under., like in the 20s under.
HOWEVER, everyone and their mom is taking the over and the number is up to 40.
Completely unimpressed with TBs offense last week in the gusty game vs. NO. Carolinas defense is much better and although the conditions are nice tonight, the environment wont be.
