First off, Ive said this many times.

I do not follow bases, havent watched an entire game this year and do not have the time or the inclination to in the near future.

However, I do enjoy the postseason and the options/props that the books offer.

That said.

Anything can or could happen in a one game playoff.

Its embarrassing for a pro sports league to have a 162 game season only to be decided by a single game playoff. The NFL has a 16 game regular season and this would be the equivalent of just a few minutes of a quarter of a game. Moving on...

Still, hard to find somone willing to take on a mere +160 dog versus a team who hasnt lost in 2 years with a certain starting pitcher. I hate chalk only slightly less than losses. The dust in the AL game is even thicker because the other guy on the mound is a bum.

I will take both home teams to score first and assume that the favored 'aces' can TCB in the first inning. Really no chalk here to hurt us if we split the two games.

ATL -110
TEX -105

Not only that, but 1 game for a sport where 1 person (the pitcher obviously) means relatively so much to a team's success. it's beyond preposterous in my mind. I can't believe this isn't being talked about more. Although maybe it is. I don't care too much about baseball either. These guys in the news and radio want to spend 4 hours discussing Jay cutler's facial reactions to his offensive coordinator on a misunderstanding, but won't talk about the enormity of this ridiculous rule.

I like the thinking here. I don't see Lohse or Saunders holding up.
