Jack,

Do you know anyone at CRIS? I could use a little help.... Apparantly they think that it is an industry standard to round off all wagers and keep the change for themselves.... Not one of my other offshore books does this. I was wondering if there is anyone you could call to see if this could be worked out or if I just need to close my account and take my business elsewhere.... Thanks in advance for any help.

Taoist,

Are you saying the round down and keep all the change? Really?

While I understand Jacks need for sponsors, I wouldnt want anyone new to the boards picking them because their name is featured prominently here as an advertiser and listed book.

Would also be interested in an answer from CRIS on this issue.

I have only placed a few small wagers there to check them out.... I didn't want to make a large deposit if I didn't like their book for one reason or another....

To answer your question Phil.... Yes, they rounded down every single wager that I made and kept the change for themselves....

Clem -140 1 unit should have paid .0715 units (actually paid .07 units)
Texas -130 2 units should have paid 1.539 units (actually paid 1.5 units)
Pending > LAD ov 7.5 (-105) 1 unit should pay 0.953 units (actually listed to pay 0.9 units)

...the part I couldn't get the customer service rep to understand is that I'm virtually paying more juice on my losses than what is listed.

The "true" juice on the above three games is...

Clem (-140 listed) (-143 actual)
Texas (-130 listed) (-134 actual)
LAD (-105 listed) (-112 actual)

This is absolutely ridiculous!!!! I am not a "big time" player by any means, but I'll be damned if I continue to let them steal from me just because they think that rounding down and pocketing the difference "is an industry standard." I will most certainly close this account and move my money to another book if I cannot get this resolved.

CRIS: Did you honestly think that this is an industry standard? ...because I have over 10 offshore books and not a single one of them besides you does this to their customers. If this is the way you're going to continue to do business...I'll simply take mine elsewhere. :gf:

I will wait to hear from Jack, but I agree, if this is true there are too many places out there to support a place that pulls shinanigans on their customers like this.

They have very similar software the WWTS.

For people who regularly play under $100, the software at these sites is a RIP. For a game with a line at -110,
33 wins 30 (as it should be)
34 wins 30 (should be 30.90, almost 12% vigorish)
35 wins 31 (should be 31.80)
.
.
.
43 wins 39
44 wins 40 (your next fair price)

SIA simply has a "calculator" when you make a bet that spits out the fair price whether you're betting $1 or $500. I can't believe a place like CRIS or WWTS doesn't have the software capabilities to take care of pennies.

Small timers should stick to carib, wsex or best of all SIA.

I agree with Carib.

Tried camelot, wagerstreet, vip and a few others. The only thing I dont like is not being able to specify a wager amount, but otherwise Carib is solid.

This very same thing happens at MVP, as well. Unless I'm somehow going about things wrong, it seems like you have to wager a SPECIFIC amount to WIN the RIGHT amount (an even $100 would be a good example). However, I personally do not like to make that big (for me) of wager very often. In fact, many times I only like to do wagers in the $30-$60 range. So to play a $30 dog at +123 for example, you should get paid $36.90 if it hits. Nope! Just $36 even. But of course if it was a -107 Fave, you'd be rounded up to paying $33 even in order to still only win the $30 even (instead of only having to pay $32.10, like it should be for a -107). I don't know how the rest of you feel -- and maybe this shouldn't even be classified as much of a big deal -- but I totally agree with Taoist on this one. This bugs the chit out of me and suffice it to say, I'm not particularily interested in continuing my buisness with MVP at this point. :nono: I can pay and get paid the RIGHT amount(s) elsewhere! Anybody else think this is BS and a bad buisness practice??

you get full price out here wouldnot play if i won 212.55 iwould expect the 55 cents with a loy of players that shit adds up bigtime,i am really shocked that they do that would have to move cash is cash and they already don't have true odds half the time offshore anyway probley more then half on fb if you play a few parlays they throw that 6 for 1 in insted of 6 to 1 and that is bullshit.

I have the same problem at WWTS and since my units are 50.00 I am getting screwed regularly. I noticed it but assumed it would be the same everywhere. I have just signed up at Olympic and it does not do the same thing. They allow you to put in an amount down to the penny and you get the exact same odds.

If anyone else knows of other good books that dont rip you for the change, could you post them? Thanks in advance.

Again, I like Carib, but they do not allow you to specify your exact bet amount, they deliniate 5/10/15 etc so you cant bet $58 if you wanted.

If you can overlook that, they are a very good book.

I agree on Carib & Olympic.........both give you an exact payoff. Nasa does also, but they get no kudos for anything else from me. Carib has the fastest sign on time on the planet & the screen changes are the speediest I have. But, as mentioned, you can't bet, say $16 or $88. It has to be $5, $10, $20 etc. Also, The customer service dept there is very good. Olympic has online direct e mail & they have always answered me in a very timely manner....THE HITMAN

Have played with about 30 different places over the past 3-4 years and the vast majority of them pay the exact amounts. Lately of the places I have been playing,Olympic, Canbet, Infinity and 5 Dimes all pay true amounts. The one place that does not is Allworld.
