He seems to have helped ease alot of pain and suffering through the years, and hopefully was able to depart in a similar manner.
Sure is a slippery slope when we treat humans like animals. It can never be right to kill somebody like this even if they want to die. Hell, why don't we just make nightly sweeps through all the nursing homes and pop all the screamers with some Succinylcholine?? We could hire a few more dead wagons to pick up the ones with no family after they get done with the horses and cows since the funeral homes will be so busy. Might as well go hit up all the teenagers after prom too bc I'm sure plenty of them would like to die then too. Heck, let's set up a booth at the unemployment office too (no job? Feel like dieing? See us for more information! Quick and painless!).
**I'm talking assisted suicide not war, protecting one's self/family, or any kind of punishment for a crime.**.
I didn't/still don't like Kervorkian. Hope nobody continues his work. It's wrong, and it's a travesty.

Six Five you're late they already started.
Paul Ryan Vows to Continue Kevorkian?s Work
Medicare to be Replaced with ?Kevouchers?
WASHINGTON (The Borowitz Report) ? In a somber Congressional ceremony, Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI) eulogized the late Dr. Jack Kevorkian today, vowing to ?honor his legacy by continuing his good work.?
?Dr. Kevorkian tried to ease the transition of seniors into the great beyond,? an emotional Rep. Ryan told his colleagues in the House of Representatives. ?Here in Congress, we have the opportunity ? one might even say the obligation ? to continue Kevorkian?s work on a grander scale.?
As a first step to memorialize the work of Dr. Kevorkian, Rep. Ryan said that his new budget plan would replace Medicare with a system of so-called ?Kevouchers? that could be redeemed for cyanide pills, nooses and bullets.

I don't think he treated "humans like animals" at all, but rather gave them choices and some dignity in death.
If we really wanted to treat humans like animals, then when they were old, dying, and fairly useless, we would just put them all in a home together and let them rot away and die, while they didn't even really know what was happening to them...oh wait...
I don't think he treated "humans like animals" at all, but rather gave them choices and some dignity in death. I would surely want the choice to end my own life if it was full of pain and suffering. I guess I am a person who subscribes to "Peter Singer Ethics". Although some of his ideas are controversial, what he really wants is the best for everyone, and the least suffering as well.
