I loaded up on Jackson and judging from the record and the little videos I have seen of him, he looks like the clear winner....
Anyway, do you think this is a safe bet?

Well if you havent seen his opponent, then how do you know its a definite value bet? Good luck anyhow.

I already layed my bet partly at +700.
And I dont think any other book has a line close to -500, so I guess its a mistake of bwin....

If one book has the favorite at -500 and another book has the dog at +700....thats definitly a value bet

Yes getting the spread is great, but I dont think that's what Zerwas meant. I think he meant compared to 5dimes it was great value. However, whether a bet is any value or not, depends on what you perceive your chances are winning are, compared to the odds offered. If you know little about the opponent, then it is hard to judge the value.
