well, wanted to take a kick at the can in regards to predicting the exact score of a game.

finally got some time to try this out.

this involves ALOT of luck and a bit of an educated opinion based on certain soccer teams and their current form.

handicapping soccer 101 : LESSON 1

PREDICTING THE EXACT SCORE.

this is NOT for the faint hearted.

record: 0 - 0

today's game we're focusing on:

Southampton (HOME) vs Liverpool
________________________________________

based on current form:

SOUTHAM is undefeated at home. 7 - 0 - 5
Liverpool is a mediocre 4 - 5 - 2 on the road.

i'd like to say that i don't expect southham to lose this game.

that being said let's go over current form of southam at home:
scores in their last 4 home matches 1-0 / 2-1/1-1/2-0/

liverpool on the road: 1-0/1-1/2-1/2-0

wow, looks pretty damn close to the southam scores....but that's just a fluke.

last time these two teams played in southampton the score was 2 - 0 southam

southam SHOULD NOT LOSE this game.
possible outcomes based on data:

southam win 1 - 0 / 2 - 1 / 1 - 1 draw or a 2 - 0 score.

let's place our wagers.

this is just a test, so we'll go small.

Southampton to win 1-0 7.50 x 20 bucks american = 150 bucks

Southampton to win 2-0 11.00 x 20 bucks american= 220 bucks

Southampton to win 2-1 9.00 20 bucks american = 180 bucks

Draw 1-1 6.50 x 20 bucks american = 130 bucks

looking at the odds from s.i.a, they seem to think there's more likely gonna be a 1 - 1 draw or a southampton win of 1 - 0

again, this is based on the data that southam is undefeated at home and liverpool is a mediocre team on the road.

even if we hit ONE of the predicted outcomes we make a small profit (yay, gas money!!!!). Maybe if my system and keen eye (ha.) works out, we may up the units.....

let's see what happens.

England, u.k.
The only winners on this game were Liverpool and the bookies.

Southampton were backed from 17/10 into 5/4 in places but generally 11/8 and day Saturday. The big bettors were hitting it hard.
