i want to donate to japan and want to make sure all of my money goes there
im wary of a lot of websites b/c i fear they will take some of it for their own
what is the best website to donate to japan via a CC?

i had the same issue...i was gonna use either the red cross or catholic relief services,but i was leery that the money might not go to the japanese.....

i decided to go with salvation army`s effort...they had a section on their site that seemed pretty japan-specific and it was was fairly pain free to send.....

It would be interesting to see how many people/and/or dollars were donated from Japan for the Katrina efforts? Or other disasters in our Country? I just really am leery of personal donations to foreign disasters. It makes me step up to already existing charities I have local that we can see the efforts.

There are a group of 12 of us in Medical sales in Atlanta that donate money once a year that goes to buying blood pressure monitors and thermometers for Indigent Care facilities and Clinics. Stays local and you see the results. Just my 2 cents worth. I applaud your effort to find the right one if you so choose. Pay it forward.
