I hope Shoop goes too. Wouldn't mind keeping Blache(sp) as defensive coach though. They also will need to either fire Angelo and Phillips, or give them a contract extension. No good coach will want to come in where the guy hiring him only has one year left on his contract. The smart thing would be to clean house and start out fresh, however, the McCaskeys have never been accused of having any football smarts.
Angelo is good friends with Nick Saban at Lsu but they are to fricken cheap to pay him the money he'll want...bottom line is they'll get what they pay for and it won't be much considering how tight they are..depressing as a fan
Best news I have heard in a while. They extended Angelo as well, which is also a good move. We should be in good shape in 2004 with the addition of a left tackle and defensive tackle.

They played well in their last 5 - 6 games or so...
let's see what they can do with a fresh new coach next year....and no more QB distractions.
