I am sure well over half were gang on gang, or along those lines. Then you have violent domestic situations. Since I don't think either of those will effect me, the odds really shrink.

That recent jump in Seattle murders is strange, though. Probably just a coincidence.
That's how rumors fly. Unlike many Americans who tend to lump everyone together, a Pakistani would know the difference between a religious Jew and a War mongering Zionist. The raconteur is probably right, although, now, a gazzilion dollars of the taxpayers money will be spent beefing up security at every hospital and synagogue on the planet.

i`m guessing that a "hate" crime is significantly worse than a "regular" crime because it makes our politicians sound brilliant against the evil conservative bigotry and it makes the a.c.l.u. feel good.....

Many times I become impassioned by events over which I have no control or can do nothing about. This event in Seattle, the Jewish Community Center shot up in 1999, all the way back to Robert Kennedy in 1968 shows that deranged people in this country who will act on their own. If I have any fear, it should be in a Supermarket or Post Office when somebody decides me and him have had enough. The Television "news" shows are nothing more than competitive propoganda. They don't care who gets bombed or burned as long as they get ratings. The world will become a democracy if we have to kill everybody in it. Vent over!
