After all the 2nd place finishes I think Chris Smith taking a double at the last to lose my only chance of a place finish this week is the final straw - to give you an idea of how my betting has been going - I now pay someone to provide tennis tips on SBI (as he's bloody good) - the only ones I personally backed this week were the only ones that lost
So..........its time for me to take a big break - I'll still have the odd bet and will take part in the comp but I really cannot take the frustration any more and will spend more time doing other things for a while.

Ian,
No way am I starting the threads.... it's the kiss of death to lady luck... look what it's done to you... a shadow of your former self!

Cheer up pal... one decent week can put it all right... that's the joy of betting... better to get a bit if bad luck out of the way early in the season... before the serious events start....don't look back look forward :D

Ian I think the entire old crew has been hit the whole season with some weird statistical imbalances. I am a believer in posting jinx and if not for finishing something I started would have seriously considered cutting out posting plays a couple weeks back. These books are getting a tad sharper also. Past years you could always manage a given go against on players shooting a round over their heads the next day at decent odds. Not so anymore.I'll use Slocom as case in point. The only line I saw after his fluke 64 was vs Chamblee and latter @ -160. You have had more than your share of bad beats.I would also consider Clives two places in beards in 6 way tie a considerable misfortune.
P.S. Never taunt Murphy!:)

Sure have been some bad beats this year

But Clive had his fair share and had a very barren run in January, but now look at his record

It's a long season and we'll still be here in December posting our plays for the ANZ Tour. Take a week or two off and you will feel better for it. There's plenty of time to make money. When it stops being fun (or profitable), it is time to take one of those many holidays of yours ;)
