JMU pk'em over Texas State ****
Going to the game tonight . Think JMU is better on defense and the Bobcats might have some problems today . JMU is coming off a road win over UL Monroe and I was at the game the other nite in Tex St overtime loss to Troy . Tex St gd Gumbs who played very little in the 2nd half is not sure what happened . He was the Tex St pt gd and was penetrating and moving the ball Don't think he was hurt but didn't play in 2nd half loss to Troy. Not sure what happened if he was benched or hurt. I sit behind the visiting team so didn't see what happened on the other side. Gumbs is a solid pt gd for the Bobcats .Pope a 6'6 power fd played well inside and outside for the Bobcats . Tex played man/man zone and full court press to slow down Troy and it worked but in the end Troy won and covered in a 3 pt win. To me Gumbs who plays the point is the key. He is the QB of the Bobcats . JMU is 5-3 on the road and has Freeman who is on fire hitting 3's and scoring. Small crowd tonight JMU is in 1st place in the conference at 13-4 and a share of the 1st place. Think JMU wins this tonight despite the JMU ats record JMU did beat Tx St by 5 last year . Think JMU defesne is better and JMU gets a win on the road. The line is now Tex ST -1.5 but I played it already at pk'em Think JMU gets a road win in a tight game . Freeman will continue his scoring and don't think the Bobcats slow him down enough.
