Ok, so I lied....I'm still here, but honestly, Joe Rogan needs to give up his mic to someone who actually cares about the sport to a point where they don't pick favorites and so biased.

Honestly, I can't listen to this idiot anymore. All he does is pick his favorites and root for them in fights and when his guy is getting dominated he makes the other guy sound like a piece of dirt.

Rua destroyed Coleman from start to finish like I said he would. Rua wanted to win this fight 2 ways...DESTRUCTION or by breaking a limb.

The guy hasn't found in 1 year and you expect his cardio to be at an elite level? Get real you dumbass.

Coleman looks like he got ran over by a mac truck.

Yeah, Shogun wasn't as good as he can be, but he absolutely picked Coleman apart. At no point in the fight did I ever think Shogun was in trouble nor did I think Coleman ever had a chance.

.....

.....

That's because Coleman is 44 year old garbage. Regardless, Rua looked absolutely bad. He needs to refind his cardio because it sucks now.

Shogun has absoustely gassed terribly in his last 2 fights. He will not beat anyone of any significance if he shows up in that type of shape again, and yes i do realize he is coming off multiple knee surgeries. He should of put Coleman away 1 minute into the first round. Coleman was completely gassed himself after the initial flurry and take down :mj07: :mj07:

Shogun didn't gass until the end of the 2nd round. However, with that said, I am certainly not throwing that to the side because I admit he gassed and gassed badly.

However, to say Rua had a horrible fight is retarded. He completely domianted Coleman. Was it a great performance? NO, but it wasn't his worst. Rua hasn't fought in a year and it's not because of time off, it's because of injury. An injury is different and makes it awful difficult.

Rua will be fine with time and eventually he will be holding that LHW crown.

It would be like any other sport after taking that much time off. Would you really expect an athlete in football or basketball to go full throttle and their conditioning be 100%? It doesn't matter how much you practice and do stuff for your conditioning, the only way to truly get it set and ready is by fighting.

Not sure what Shogun has done in his last 2 fights that is suppose to impress me.
Gassed and lost to Griffin(Ok that is acceptable), but now he des the same thing against Coleman in a fight that way closer than it should have been.
Coleman was ready to go many times and Rua couldn't finish.
His cardio is crap right now.

As for Rogan, he does have his favs and cheers for them at times, but does a good job compared to Goldberg and some others that have tried.
Frank Shamrock is pretty solid sidekick. Bas sucks but is funny at times.

Can't wait, and what a classless article written by Kevin Iole who hasn't watched MMA until he was told too. What a real dope.

Rua will be ready....

now it's time for Thiago to carry the torch at ufc 94

I don't watch much UFC but I've seen enough to agree with you on Rogan. He's a complete douche. And he's a bad shill for the sport.

For example, I'll never forget his commentary when Steven Bonner and Forrest Griffin fought. He practically spouted that it was greatest fight ever in the history of the world where in reality it was 2 clods that stood up for 10 minutes and mostly missed each other with awfully thrown punches. :mj07: :mj07: :142smilie :142smilie

I don't have a problem with Rogan and his knowledge of the sport. I do think he knows what he's talking about most of the time.

However, the picking of fighters and sitting there acting like a cheerleader is annoying as hell. I like listening to the overseas guys more because they discuss the fight and when they get excited it's about the fight. Not because of their buddy or favorite doing something.

Rogan and Goldberg did the same thing when Chuck fought Wandy and Chuck threw a punch that completely missed and Wandy backed up and Goldberg's words were, "And Chuck is going in looking to finish him, cannnn he do it??" Then they said something about a looping jab that completely missed and how it rocked Wandy lol

Wandy got his ass kicked, but if you turned off the fight and just listened to it, you would think Rogan and Goldberg were wearing cheerleading uniforms.

I don't deny that he's good for the sport and knows his stuff. My point was that he picks favorites and he should give the microphone to someone who can comment on a fight without being so biased.

I'm telling you. If you could just listen to the Rua-Coleman and Wandy/Liddell fight...and MANY MANY MORE, and not watch those fights, you'd be annoyed and the guy is a complete retarded sometimes.

The fact that he said Belcher had an "amazing performance" against Kang when I honestly thought Kang had him down 20-17 after 2rds(had it gone to the 3rd). Kang gassed, Belcher caught him in what I think was #1 stupid of Kang, but #2 a lucky guillotine. The 1st round and pretty much all of the 2nd round were complete dominations. I had round #1 10-8. Anyways, I've never seen a fighter get dominated and have an amazing performance.

considering some of the assholes we`ve suffered doing boxing commentary over the years,i think rogan does pretty well...

he`s passionate about the sport...as far as being a shill and being overly dramatic, well, thats part of the job....

you wanna see a shill, get some tapes of the old espn friday night fights when al bernstein was working for them...same fighters over and over...boring fights....with bernstein over analyzing and dramatizing some of the worst drecch ever perpetrated on the boxing public...

Al had a better personality and doesn't getting shreiky excited like Rogan. Rogan just seems like a immature child while Al was a classy guy, albeit a tad dull. ie. "It's always a good idea to keep the foot on the outside of the southpaw" etc.

I like Frank Mir because of his knowledge of the sport, but he is the worst when it comes to choosing sides in MMA fights...... he may be asked to treat the WEC's stars differently (hype the big names), but he doesnt give much credit to the opponents of guys like Faber and Torres. I dont like it when an announcer makes a guy out to be unbeatable..

Mir went silent when Faber got TKOd against Brown.
