What's your take on the TCU/ISU game. I got TCU to cover but Ames is a hard place to play and its a magical season for Clones? Really 5th yr walk on senior at QB?:popcorn2:popcorn2

Ia St is very excited. They have a good running back. Their 5th yr senior walk on QB has only started 3 games.
He has not played vs a good def yet--Okie--ya right their def is bad. The big kicker is at Ames. If Frogs don't make any critical mistakes 1st half I think they cover easily?. Does TCU have the DB's to cover Lazzard-he is an animal?

Sorry, just saw this.

TCU is definitely not overlooking the Cyclones. They have played TCU tough in Ames before, but so has Kansas and the Frogs put it on them quickly. Things seem to be clicking for Kenny Hill this year. The weather is supposed to be cold with a chance of snow. So I expect TCU to run, run and run the ball some more. May be why Coach Patterson hasn't been using Darius Anderson so much last couple of weeks. He'll need to be ready to pound away this weekend.

Lazzard caught one pass for 8 yards last year. In 2015, he caught 5 for 147 and 1 TD. The DBs are better than 2015 this year and healthier than last year. Montgomery catching passes over the middle worries me more quite frankly.

I already grabbed TCU -6 yesterday. Should be a low scoring game in the cold, but like the TCU motto -goes, "FIGHT 'EM TILL HELL FREEZES OVER. THEN FIGHT 'EM ON THE ICE!" I'm thinking it will be something like 27-17 TCU.

Bonus note: Two TCU kickers have missed 3 extra points this year -2 last week. Let's hope it doesn't come down to a FG or XP to win and/or cover.

Joe don't think weather will be that bad in Ames Saturday. 40's-cool for Texas boys. Its better at Trice now as several years ago they filled in that south end zone area-winds don't rip thru it as bad

Well, TCU beat Baylor in a cold monsoon two years ago. I think they'll be OKwith the weather.

I think the BU/UT line is an overreaction to Baylor playing WVU close and UT losing the starting QB. However. Baylor has some key injuries too.

I see, kind of makes sense, thanks. Was just looking at Horns for a tease so would only need them to win. But don't know with QB out.
