Between Green Bay and Iowa City
Outrights:

Niclas Fasth(25/1) e.w.
- - In the preview clip I saw, I got a real sense the high strung Fast is in a good place (i.e., equanimity) with the solid state of his game and with patience in letting that fact show, plus having a good feel for taking on the venue at hand. At his best, I think of Fasth as fearless and stunning with his approach shots, and Nicklaus courses are second shot courses.

Raphael Jacquelin(50/1) e.w.
- - I remember his dislikes on his website from years ago included playing when it's cold or wet . . . and would swear that since reading that it's seemed to me he plays as well or better in those conditions than he does when it's hot and dry, or just ideal. Go figure.

Joost Luiten(125/1) e.w.
- - Matt Cooper at bettingzone.co.uk notes, "The Dutchman returned to the main tour last week at Kennemer and . . . he was rated a 66/1 shot. One missed cut (with rounds of 70 and 71) and he's plummeted to 150/1. I quite like it when an in-form golfer posts one bad result - especially when the bookmakers write them off." . . . That's a formula that's brought most of us some success in the past, and most of us probably wish we had pulled the trigger on that formula more often than we have.

Simon Dyson(25/1) e.w.
- - I generally need a compelling reason to pick up a winning marker, and any analysis here doesn't rise to a compelling level.

Chinnarat Phadungsil(375/1 to Win and 55/1 Top 5) e.w.
- - I don't mind. :s2:
