WagerWeb.com JonBenet Odds - Bettors Predict If Karr Fabricated Confession

San Jose, Costa Rica - August 21, 2006 - WagerWeb.com (http://www.WagerWeb.com) posted odds today asking bettors to predict if John Mark Karr fabricated his confession of murdering America's sweetheart, six year old beauty queen JonBenet Ramsey. Online bettors often flock to their favorite sites like WagerWeb.com to bet on the outcomes of top news stories, in this case, the legitimacy of Karr's confession.

"Throughout history, suspects have fabricated confessions in high profile cases whether due to a mental illness or to gain attention," says Dave Johnson, CEO of WagerWeb.com. Citing the Michael Jackson case and Duke lacrosse player DNA outcomes, Johnson adds, "Betting on celebrities and trials is as popular with our customers as sporting events." WagerWeb.com is one of the Internet's largest betting sites, offering odds surrounding the most popular issues and events in world, entertainment and sporting news.

Bookmakers at WagerWeb.com are offering odds as follows:

Will it be determined that John Mark Karr fabricated his confession of murdering JonBenet Ramsey?
Yes -120 (Bet $120 for $100 profit)
No -120 (Bet $120 for $100 profit)

While I agree might not be in the greatest of taste I don't see it as betting on death but rather outcome of trial based on info available--quite similiar to OJ trial which I would not wager on as couldn't determine how much facts would weigh on verdict.

As far as books my only beef with them is stunt they pulled with AR--however they offer golf props not available anywhere else with the most innovative golf compilers out there.

--be that what it may I have decided to step over to the degenerate side for this one with a rare wager above my standard $50 punt.
