How can the "greatest player" get stuffed so many times in one game! That made me sick. He cost me alot. And now the Grizzles cant make a damn basket.

Hellah, I feel your pain! I had the Grizzlies last night, too, and all I can say about em now is THEY FREAKIN STINK! I know.....I should've realized that before it was too late but NOOOOO Anyway, they won't get a damn cent of my money from now on until they can prove somewhat worthy. I looked at the box score...that team has a bunch of SCRUBS!

And of course like a dumb-ass, I forgot Dickerson wasn't playing. Obviously didn't help matters any.

Hellah.....You need to take good look at what your saying here buddy.....The "Greatest Player" yes in his prime....He's not so great anymore...How old is he again? How much weight has he put on? How long has he been outta the league? I think IMHO about mid-season he will have lost some of that weight, got his legs back underneath him and be more valuable to the team than what he is now.....that being said...I also believe IMHO that it is always better to be pissed off than pissed on.....good luck to you...

OK SO WE ALL KNOW HE IS OLDER NOW. BUT WHAT DO YOU WANT HIM TO DO TAKE A 24 SECOND VIOLATION. HIS TEAMATES THROW HIM THE BALL WITH 3 SECONDS ON THE SHOT CLOCK AND SAY DO SOMETHING. YES HE IS GOING TO GET SOME OF THOSE SHOTS BLOCKED. HE GOT 32 LAST NIGHT WITH EVERYBODY AND THEIR BROTHER GUARDING HIM.

A few notes:1. I made a vow last night to not bet on the wizards, bulls, cleveland,or grizzlies anymore. I will consider fading them but will not lay money on them. 2. NBA should seriously consider eliminating the grizzlies from the league. 3.Somewhere around the 30th to 40th game, Jordan will seriously regret his decision to return. He WAS the greatest player, but without those bulls teams, he would be ringless. Washington will finish with 50 losses this year, and I think, will probably be a good go against team as Jordan and the younger players get more and moer frustrated with each other. No one will take them lightly because of Jordan and they will continue to be punished. Paul Pierces defense illustrates this fact. He wanted Jordan so bad he could taste it. And that is going to happen every night as who ever guards Jordan will play like its the finals. All this is IMHO

Kevin Mac- Do you think Jordan would have won a championship in his prime with Jhadi White, Lattener, Hamilton, alexander(the only bright spots) Whitney and tyronn lue as a supporting cast? In Chicago he had Pippen, a couple of sharpshooters in Paxson and Kerr, Bruisers in rodman and grant. My point was to say that washington will continue to get too much respect because of Jordan. I think that boston line was off and I dont want to get suckered anymore

superrich,

There is no doubt in my mind that Jordan could take this wiz team (given a season or 2 to gell together) to a championship. That bulls team was awful without him. Remember, the Wiz are young (Hamilton, Alexander, White) and have played, what 5 games together? He is the greatest athlete I have ever seen and is still playing pretty damn good baskeball. That Bulls team would of never seen a ring without MJ. Hell, if MJ was in his prime and had a season or 2, he could take the Grizzlies to a championship.....

The success of the Wiz doesn't depend as much on what Jordan does as it depends on what the other 4 players do that are on the floor w/ him...they don't make plays...x-bulls players like Paxton/ Kerr/Rodman/obviously Pippen...all made "plays"...if you play basketball w/ any truely great player (at any level) you have to know how to play, move, cut and so forth...the great ones play off of instinct...Jordan got the ball thrown to him last night in several tough(Pierce's blocked shot was one example) situations..P. Jones' late T.O. killed them...so anyway Hellah10..i love your MAC football write-ups...but basketball is a different deal...a lot of times its a "feel" thing in basketball...good luck this weekend...crib
p.s.--i'm 50 miles down the road from you!

ZMan- I think we'd have to agree to disagree here. Jordan was and possibly still is the best player that ever was or will be. But I do not believe he will improve the Wizards. And from a handicapping point of view, I feel the Wizards will be a good go against team, especially against teams with quick guards that will force the defense to expand leaving there middle deficiencies wide open.

KevinMac--IMO Paul Pierce would have punked out Jordan in his prime?
Just kidding. But you are right, over time, like 6-7 years, Jordan could be surrounded with better players and a team molded around him to win a championship. With Washington, he does not have this amount of time. And in 6 years, with this same team and same players, they would be average at best because all but like 3 guys are bad NBA players.
