Jorge Arce vs Rafael Concepci?n

Does anyone have any opinions?

Consepcion has youth in his favour. Although Arce is only 29, he has had more than 50 fights to Consepcions 14 fights. He has been in more world title fights than Consepcion's had fights.

I think this is almost a sure win as Arce is a Mexican hero and the fight is being held in his hometown against a Panamanian in a "Mexican Independence Day" promotion.

I think Consepcion will need a KO to win in Mexico but Arce has an iron jaw. Consepcions best chance is to win on cuts.

Arce has seen better day's but I think he will be hyped for this fight.
It is usually boxers that give Arce trouble but Consepcion is more of a brawler who has been knocked down numerous times.

Arce to beat Consepcion -110 Medium.

i hate arce but it seems everything would be in his favor here

the young kid did knock out aj banal (who was a big prospect)

but there's a huge gap in experience here

Arce has looked like doggy doo doo the last two fights

I thought the thai guy clearly beat him last fight

Arce is very close to shot, but being in Mexico is a HUGE advantage...it may be enough

After reviewing some Consepcion boxing, I am upping my wager on Arce at +105.

It looks to me like Consepcion does not like getting hit to the body. Arce will make him pay all night with body shots.

I see Concepcion as the stronger guy. We all know Arce struggles with slick fighters and has steam rolled many others. But his best work was as a 108 pounder and hasn't shined at 115. Now he meets a legit 115 pound badass that has a good chance at beating Arce at his own game.

Tough tough pick here. Concepcion had nice + odds @ the opening and now he is the clear favorite. Steve Kim @max had Arce losing his last go in mexico. Arce was losing his fight to Rojas before landing the liver shot 1 yr ago. Arce was dominated by Mijares. Arce didn't win a single rd in that one. Concepcion is a straight ahead fighter which Arce loves but does he have enough in the tank to beat the young upstart??? I'm staying away from it. @ good + odds I may have taken Conception small but now I don't see value in this one. Gl people. I hope to see this one on azteca.

Don't think Arce is going to have the luxury of going to the cards this time. My concern with Concepcion is he grabbed his title only 45 days ago in a tough go in which he iced Banal. That's not much recovery time, but Arce is in tough. Friend of mine grabbed Concecpcion at +240, I was only able to get him around +160. Says a lot that Concecpcion is now the betting favorite -130. Hope they don't find a way to steal it from him. Arce cuts easy these days. They'll probably rule a head clash like every other fuggin ref lately.

Arce cuts but not bad enough to stop fights lately. Plus I wouldn't want to depend on that in Mexico. They will NOT be in any hurry to stop the fight. Concepcion will need to absolutely DOMINATE Arce or knock him out. Like I said, I thought Arce won 4 rounds at the most in his last fight and he walked away the winner.

Arce is going to win by wicked liver shot. AJ was beating the piss out of Consepcion for the first half of the fight before he folded like a deck of cards.
AJ has skill with NO heart, Arce is ALL heart.
Arce has trouble with boxers, Consepcion is made to order for Arce. Whenever Arce fights someone with boxing skills as was the case when I bet Rojas, I am all over his opponent but I will take Arce in a brawl especially in Mexico against a Panamanian.

i came on here to say the same thing! i was going to put some on arce for fun as the dog, to my shock the lines have flipped all over again. the man played concepcion while he was a dog, perhaps his followers are responsible for the earlier line shift.
