What do you guys know about this guy? He plays for Ottawa, and grew up just a stone's throw from where I work now. I will probably am going to do an interview with him in the next week or so, so I was wondering if you guys that follow the CFL think he's legit? He numbers seem good, but that's all I have to go by....

well numbers are very important that's for sure...and last year he had great numbers playing for a weak team :)

last year he was at:

Rushing:

Att. Yds. Avg. TD
128 689 5.0 3

Receiving

Rec.
49 456 9.3 2

and this year I think he'll do even better..........guy has skills that's for sure.........Ottawa was weak last year but not as weak as most people think....they blew a lot of games with dropped passes and fumbles.........think this year they will have a much better season..........think Crowley (QB) and the rest of the offence will "gel", and when that happens I can see your man having a breakout year.........after all he was #1 in Rushing and #2 in Receiving on his team last year............but if the offence improves...opposing defenses won't key in on him like they did last year

Bootom line........your man is one good football player.......see if this year he can turn into one of the best offensive players in the league........otherwise known as the old cliche "move to the next level" :p

Ranek played well for the injured Darren Davis last year. The one thing that followed him last year were his fumbles at key times in the game. The guy is solid as a rock, cut like a statue. Renegades signed him after he was released from the Cowboys practice roster last year. I think he played in about 9 or 10 games. If you need phone numbers for the players just let me know by e-mail. ks gave some solid info so I will leave it at that.
