ivabign - I don't disagree with your synopsis. That is a different point of view, and I like going with hot over not teams as well. But going bigger picture, this is how I look at it - the Bulls were embarrassed by losing to a league bottom feeder in their own gym, and they took it out defensively on the struggling Hawks. Brooklyn is on a nice winning streak, but they have only beat two teams in this streak that were any good. The Thunder were in a real bad spot when they played them (I actually took the Nets SU to win that game) and the Pacers were also in a bad spot (I also bet the Nets that game). Not trying to sound coy, just saying that I remember both those games and the situations well, because I bet on them.
I was going back and forth on this game, but when I saw the coach suspended Smith, I bet it. That may be the catalyst the Hawks need. History suggests that after very bad offensive performances, teams respond. Teams as home favorites after shooting less than 30% from the field in a game they lost are 25-9 SU and 22-12 ATS (average line -5). I think this is a must win for Atlanta.
I like this Nets team a whole lot more than I like the Hawks. You could even say I dislike the Hawks, a lot. I won't be surprised if the Nets upset them. Given recent track history though, the line almost seems "too" easy to take the Nets, eh??
Good luck, I have been known to be wrong more than once, haha!
