Kid looks good, don't you think? Super strong up-the-line backhand. A bit more regular, a bit smarter at crucial times (he got in Mayer's way more than once when Mayer was basically showing just get the ball back and I'll fold in 2-3 shots), a bit more emotional control (gets angry at himself for no reason, when it was clearly going his way) and this kid can really be something.

Yep, he's good, but so is every guy from 1 to 400. Great tourney for him though, he'll move into top 55 on Monday.

Once he got used to the wind, he was good to go. Plus Mayer was sore from long matches throughout the week.

Meus skunked Baccy in the first set, but baccy showed incredible will. Meus played robotically, like a tennis playing robot set at about 8 on a 10 scale. She never varied her level at all, it was kind of weird. It was high-level, but she never tried to go for a bit more even when it was becoming clear that Baccy was overtaking her. I feel sorry for Meusberger, she's ugly as a rat in a rain barrel.

He hit some wicked hard shots. I expected him to decline after Zverev match, I thought he looked a little tentative and it was more Zverev just not being much, but he just got better.
