St John -11 over Mercer **
Johnnies fired Mullins who can shoot and score but can't coach...thats the bad news ...Johnnies were automatic going against them...now they hire Anderson who has been at UAB, Mizou,Ark,etc the famous " 40 Minutes of hell" but anderson did says the other day we are only at " 25 minutes of hell" so far in Queens...Johnnies lost Ponds to the NBA and 2 other scorers..but they have Heron at 6'5 who can score and rebound...and their best player Figueroa ,they added some juco and transfers that can play d and run the floor...Mercer won 11 games last yr and can't play defense...think Johnnies in Andersons home opener play 37 minutes of hell and enough to cover the spread...game is on campus not MSG where the crowd and home court are better...

Game is at the dome..Cuse lost Battle,Howard and Brissett..that is top scorer,top rebounder and pt gd...Cavs lost Hunter,Jerome etc so both teams lost there top players...Bennett has beaten the 2-3 the last 3 times..his pack line defense will give the Cuse some problems Boe has a lot of talent and just reloads and now has his son Buddy...think Vir who won so many games on the road in the ACC gets another win..last yr the last these 2 teams player each other Cavs won 79-53...might not be by that much but Cavs win this and cover
Pitt +4 over FSU **
Pitt at home..no Mann anymore...Pitt plays better defense they have Xavier who can score .. FSU has more "greyhounds and are better athletically but I'll take Pitt ,,last yr Pitt won 75-62...and FSU had Mann
all small plays
last night Texas blew No Col out pretty bad...there defense has improved but they do so many things bad..forced shots,no rebounders,same offense high post screen gds ,spacing terrible..there 5 star center 6'10 center Baker is slow and out of shape..he came in with about 9 minutes left in the half...was 0-5 and was so out of breath every shot was short..I know he is only a freshmen but he isn't an impact player ..slow feet and once the B-12 teams come in he is in for a rude awaking ..hopefully will get better but he is not a " one and done " player like Shacka's last 3 post players
