My bad ...I had a feeling giving 3 touchdowns was to much to give and a backdoor could occur it did Oh well Marist couldn't stop Princeton but at Least Oakland won outright over Toledo ...sitting next to doglover who has sat in his same reserved seat since the LBJ days . Since his wife didn't come I was his guest . My 1 season ticket is in section 65 , and I thought my seat was the most southern seat at the Erwin Center but after last night I realized I am in the southern most section and the state capital is at my back. I went to the will call window to collect my season tickets for the year and as I walked into the arena the lady asked me to see my ticket. So She said" you can't go that way,you need to take the elevator". ' Elevator this place has an Elevator. ". anyway sat next to Dog lover about 3 floors down and 45 sections closer to the court. Texas did look good for 37 minutes though with a lot of new talent. Loved the new gd Carr.
North Texas -10.5 over UTA ***
NT did play Buffalo tough the other night and found a new scorer in Perry the juco transfer from Kansas . Again Hamlett ran this team for 2 years so this team needs to adjust to a new pt gd and new offense. But their defense is still good and McFarlands team play aggressive defense. McBride has come into his own and Bell is a double double If 6'10 250 pound Ousmane who had 10 pts and 5 rebounds vs Buffalo the other night might be able to play rim protector But on offense he has about 3 foot range . At 4 feet he is 0-33.
UTA has one solid scorer in Azore . Have seen them the past 4 years vs tex St and this is there weakest team I have ever seen. They did lose to Abilene Christian in OT the other night but AC is tough and beat Texas last yr in the NCAA's. NT has recruited a bunch of juco's kids that can score Now they have to learn to play defense. That is NT's coach strength . If NT's slows down Azore think they can win this but the line is high at -10 to -10.5 so its a small play UTA has a new coach since head coach resigned to become an asst at Texas. Think NT wins this by 12 or 13 points .. can't see them running away big but NT is at home and Perry has emerged as a star.
