Ist day with many big schools playing the smaller schools . Hard to handicapp because for the smaller schools in low d-1 conferences they are playing a name team from a big conference. In fact when some of these kids are recruited coaches use that as a tool . We are playing URI or Wash St in early November etc This is their mini super bowl game. Then you have the power schools with all there new players and transfer portal guys that have to learn to play together and gel Then you have coaches from the power schools that should win these games substitute a lot and experiment with different players You might have a blowout and the coaches want to give some players a chance to get some " light" that once conference starts might not see much light.
Its really not smart to play any games until teams have played a few under their belt. I know the Sun Belt and MAAC conferences very well and it seems many are playing power 5 schools and I'm giving the points way to much. I handicap most of these teams and my lines lean towards the teams I know more about. Maybe their deficiency's Who knows I still don't have a house on the beach in the Caymons Islands Unless I hit power ball tonight.

Tx St has the best pts gd in the Sun Conf in Harrell but their front line could be in big trouble. Cougs have a big athletic front line with a NYC gd who is built like a linebacker TJ Bamba. Think he will be on Harrell and if you stop Harrell Bobcats are in trouble Wash St has Powell who played for Tenn and Auburn and 6'11 Gueye is their best scorer and rebounder. Think Tex St is in big trouble tonite
Fordham -6 over Dartmouth **
Rams lost Ohms there big rebounder but have one of the best scorers in the A-10 in Quenberry Think they can get a double digit win tonite over an avg Dartmouth team. Dartmouth can cross the street from Rose Hill after the game ans buy there White Castle burgers before there long ride home to New Hampshire. Just make sure you have those bus windows open on the way home.

Arizona St -13,5 over Tarletown ****
Think Hurley after last year came back down to earth. His father had to be at those practices to get this team on track. They have a pt gd Collins who plays like his coach. They have the Cambridge brothers and one of the best players in the PAC 12 in Horn. They have so much talent Cannot see the Texans staying with the Sun Devils although Texans since joining D-1 the past 2 years have surprised the WAC and many more But Hurley wants to make a statement early before conf starts With there uptempo and solid gd play they win big
UTEP Texas have ticket to the game tonight but my daughter got married here in Austin and I was the uber taxi driver to the airport making 4 round trips this weekend . I'm tired . The wedding was held in the Austin Public library on the 4th floor over looking the Colorado River and the Austin skyline . Great wedding and when we were leaving the security and I were talking They had about so much left over cake I asked the guard would the homeless outside the library like it He said everytime their is a wedding here they wait at one of the doors So I took about 2 cakes outside with plastic forks and paper plates and a garbage bag and feed about 7-9 homeless guys who spend their nights on the library steps. When we all went after the wedding to my daughters house my daughter and her new husband said " who brought home all the extra cake" . I just quietly sat there and didn't have the nerve to tell them there is no cake left lol My phillies lost and that hurt anyway jump ball tonight dog lover are you going to the game ? New stadium,new parking but will watch on TV Texas - 22 going to pass on UTEP have fun and really no one should be betting on the 1st few games of the seasons but that is why everyone here reading and betting has no brains ..
