GS could be down 0-2 right heading to Cleveland after winning one and losing one in two overtime games. This is the same GS team that only lost 3 games at home all year. Now their in back to back life or death struggles against this undermanned Cleveland team? After winning gm1 by the skin of their teethe you would think GS would come out strong in gm2 and try to make a statement. They couldn?t and I didn?t see anything that resembled urgency. I?m no mathematician, but something doesn?t add up there. In the Finals, every single second is critical. It appears, GS, themselves are now believing Cleveland is going to hand this to them. Well guess what? It?s not happening. You?re going to have to come out and work harder than the regular season, harder than game 3 of the Western Conference Finals, harder than you have ever worked before. Problem is, they don?t really know how hard it is because they?ve never won. Make no mistake, this will be an incredible learning experience for them and they will eventually win a championship, just not this year.
Cleveland will not trail again in this series
They are now 15-0 this season with two days rest in between games. They were 14-0 going into gm2.
I think it?s pretty clear who should have been the MVP of the regular season, actually it?s crystal freaking clear. But hey it is what it is and I believe being the MVP of the NBA Finals is much more satisfying. James will get his.
Sooooooooo tell me again how good Curry is?
Great player no doubt, but he needs work. Can?t quite put my finger on it, maybe it?s the experience factor or lack of urgency during critical parts of the game. He also needs to put on about 10 pounds of muscle. I was surprised to find out he was 6?3, 190lbs. If he doesn?t, he will always be outmuscled/intimidated by physical basketball players. If you give the guy a foot or two he?s gonna break you every time, driving the lane or pulling up, but if you get right in his face and bump/shove him a little, put a hand there, he can?t handle that.
Curry hasn?t been the same since being dropped on his noggin. His numbers have plummeted. Shooting percentages down 15-20%. Wouldn?t be surprised to hear he has or had a concussion from that fall after the Finals are over. Either that, or it scared him enough to slow down a bit.
I like to think Delle will slap the cuffs on Curry again in gm3, but Curry strikes me as a person that likes to play in a hostile environment and show off a little, but it won?t matter either way.
Obviously, gm3 has huge significance. Teams that win it, win the Finals 84% of the time. As tired as Cleveland might be after two overtime games and only one superstar that?s averaging 48 mpg thru 2, they win again.
