That whenever you see someone less fortunate it doesn't hurt to give them a dollar or fifty cents or a coke or some cheeseburgers.... Or just stop and talk to someone who you can tell is lonely with nothing... Put a smile on someone's face.... Who cares if they take that dollar and use it on a beer or do whatever with it... It doesn't hurt you any to share a tiny fraction of what you have. Feeling hungry is one of the worst feelings imo... It feels even worse knowing you don't have a pantry full of snacks to go to whenever you please.... I drive by skid row in dtla at least twice a week to remind myself not to take anything for granted and appreciate what you have. I personally think it's tacky to take your left overs from a restaurant but I do it anyways because I know on my way home I'll find someone whose hungry and who will enjoy it... Don't forget about others who are less fortunate or other humans who just want someone to talk to.
