I enjoy Jack's amazing site so much, felt like posting this today.
We can all use some inspiration at times and this never fails to do it for me.
While I'm at it, thanks again Jack for the opportunity to post previews and picks of the Super 12 rugby competition in the "Off the Wall" forum. I've had a ball and it seems everyone else playing has too - it's a shame the season has to end this weekend but we're aiming for one more winner

AIR AND LIGHT AND TIME AND SPACE

You know, I've either had a family,
a job, something
has always been in the
way
but now
I've sold my house, I've found this
place, a large studio, you should see
the space and the light
for the first time in my life
I'm going to have a place and the time to
create

No baby, if you're going to create
you're going to create whether you work
16 hours a day in a coal mine
or
you're going to create in a small room
with three children
while you're on
welfare,
you're going to create with part of your mind
and your body blown
away

You're going to create blind
crippled
demented,
you're going to create with a cat crawling
up your back while
the whole city trembles in earthquake, bombardment,
flood and fire

Baby, air and light and time and space
have nothing to do with it
and don't create anything
except maybe a longer life to find
new excuses
for

Some of you

folk may know this piece and/or the author. Wish I could offer a prize to the first to name him/her

Thanks again Jack and crew (IE, Tiger etc) for all you do and all the great friends across the world I've met here...

Anders, good to know you to, you old goat chaser. Hey I used to chase cows. Farmer shot rock salt at us. So we had to stop. I do not know the author. And yes life is short. It's what we do with it.

I knew there was another name for a goat chaser. Bring all the sheep on to me. Well just the females.

Anders, that is a very touching poem!

I had to wipe a tear from my eye, much like I do when I hear Bonnie Tyler sing, "Once upon a time I was falling in love, now i'm only falling apart. Nothing I can do, a total eclipse of the heart".

Never look into the sun during an eclipse, you can scorch your retina.

Thanks for sharing, man!!

I like this post.

Felt it was worthy of a "bump".

BTW, for those (like myself), who hardly ever take the time to scroll down to the bottom of the Message Forum, the "Off The Wall" forum is pretty good stuff.

It's worth a look.

Your 1000% right Buddy. It has some meaning. Besides a little fun with it.
