Is it posible that NJ and Ottawa are trying to avoid Phili/Sabres in eastern SF? Caps may be much better choice. I mean, NJ lost to NYR and Sens OTL last night, both at home.

Interesting thought, but don;t forget about reseeding after first round. There's a good chance Pens (or Leafs) pull an upset that would leave #1 playing #6 (or 7) instead of #4/5.

What about in the West? If your COL(with 1st in your division wrapped up)who do you want to play in the first round? SJ,PHX maybe, but your probably gunning for VAN(maybe get it done in 4 or 5 and have a good break before the 2nd round).
EDM or LA (two of the hottest teams in the last month) probably not. So what do you do?
You lose to EDM(4-1)last Wed, lose to LA(4-0) on Sat(horrible game)to strengthen their chances of finishing 5th and 6th, and let DAL and DET have the tougher series.
Now you might say I'm talking crazy(and I probably am!), but it will be interesting to see what happers in COL tonight.

Yeah, the West is a mess. I think everyone wants to play Vanc without Naslund. I know that's who I want to see the Stars play, but if they could only get 1 of 4 possible points from Ana, I think they'll drop to 7th, 8th, or out. From a Stars fan's perspective, ideally, Edm would be 5 (good chance to upset StL), Vanc would be 6 (easy for the Stars), SJ would be 7th (the Sharks will cheap-shot some of the Wings), and LA would be 8 (they play well against Colo).

Looks like Edm, SJ, LA, Vanc, with Phoe left out.
