i saw happy cappers' notes on byrd, but can also assume that his arm will be fresher today. in any event, byrd had a terrible outing his last time out, and since he has only pitched 39 innings this year, that one bad inning made his era jump from 2.50 to 5.54. he is just one of those pitchers that will either pitch a real good one or get rocked.

will i give -200 under these circumstances? no way. i will take kc and the +180, in a game that should be no more than -130 for the home team. a best bet.
