UNLV ?14.5 (Saturday) - This game means a lot more to UNLV that it does to Kansas, as it would be a major boost to The Rebels? football program to score a BIG win over a Big Twelve team, even a conference doormat like Kansas. UNLV was spared an apparent ATS loss vs. a tough Wisconsin team last week when a blackout caused their game to be suspended before the required 55 minutes was played. This week?s assignment looks much easier however, as Kansas has been simply horrible on the road in recent years. Besides, UNLV probably won?t turn the ball over 5 times again like they did last week. They actually played quite well defensively, holding stud Wisconsin running back Anthony Davis to 81 yards in 20 carries, and also holding Brooks Bollinger to just 156 yards passing. The Rebels should have no trouble containing a Kansas offense that managed only 150 yards of total offense in their 45-3 loss to Iowa State. This continues a Jayhawks patter from last season of big blowout losses on the road, as they lost their road games by an average of 25.3 points per game! The Rebels showed that they are capable of coming up big at home with last season?s 31-3 rout of San Diego State. They also had a narrow 26-24 home loss to an outstanding Colorado State team, so I look for them to pummel Kansas this week by about 20 points.

Got to agree with the UNLV pick. As a Kansas grad would like to think my Jayhawks can hang but they have no talent on offense. Will struggle to score tonight and my prediction is a 38-10 Rebels win.
