about time ,he should of had a managers job way before this,he is very good,won't help much this year but will in the years to come.

Does anyone have any stats on how a team does in their first game with a new manager?

Seems like they tend to win for a couple of days (maybe to impress the new boss) then go back to their old ways.

Jon-not sure about that record, i know Tiger bets that angle in hockey and it has been successful in the past--

i agree Fletch, Pena knows a great deal about the game, plus it cant hurt that he's bilingual--just not sure if it matters in Kansas City but that is more a commentary on the economics of baseball--
