I'm making my annual Spring trip to Keeneland tomorrow. I am always mainly focused on Derby in the spring, but I like to take my son to Keeneland every year. I just take him to the paddock, let him point at one, and put 2 bucks on it. He actually picked 5 winners in a row one day. I'm sure, as always, he will come home with more mony than I do, but here are my top 3 in order of preference for each race.
1. 3-5-6 ran 6th, 3rd, and 5th
2. 4-7-1 4 scratched, 7 was 1st, 1 was 5th
3. 4-7-3 7 scratched 3&4 were out of it
4. 3-9-1 3 won, other 2 out
5. 1-9-7 9 won and paid $24.80, other 2 out
6. 3-7-4 3 won, 7 3rd, 4 out
7. 3-9-6 6 won and paid $31.80, 3 was 4th, 9 was 3rd.
8. 7-5-8 5 won, 8 was 3rd, 7 out
9. 3-1-6 1 won, 6 2nd, 3 was 4th
I just realized how many times I have 3 on top. Oh well. Like they say, "It only takes one."
I'm not sure how I'll play these yet. I usually tri wheels with my top 3 over the same 3, over the same 3 +2 more for an $18 ticket. I'll try to update when I get home. Good luck!
