Kegray1,

You obviously have an interest MMA and live in Houston, do you train? If so get my email from Jack we may know each other or at least crossed paths.

Despite Kickservs mentioned bouts that I have had jokingly, I have never fought or trained. I have a 50 year old body, yet I am only 37. I play in a indoor and outdoor soccer league as well as basketball. I should not do any as doctor has told me it is terrible for me the way my back is.

The only thing close to a MMA fighter in the area that I know is Mike Swick's mom(but that was back in '98 when he was still at Clear Lake HS) years ago as she always came into my business. I have not seen her in 8+ years. I still remember the day she came in and told me she was nervous because he had his first fight coming up. She even started it by saying have you ever heard of cage fighting. She gave me two tickets to the event in Humble(maybe 300 people there). The card was actually pretty loaded as Yves Edwards(from Woodlands) was on card so was Shannon Ritch and Travis Lutter.

Thanks for the offer, If I was younger without a broke down back then I would jump at the chance to train so I could go give Kickserv a good backyard beatdown Kimbo style.:mj07:

Kegray1,

Thanks for the response, I was just curious. The BJJ community in Harris County is getting big but still a relatively tight knit brethren and we tend to cross paths now an then.

Take care.

I try to go to the local events but they don't advertise them very well.
An event at the Arena Theatre should at least have an ad on the day of in the Chronicle or something.
Got any good links for local fighting?
