Released this statement: "The police were dispatched because of a compliant that Blake was attempting to steal the callers keys and vehicle. They knew he had an open warrant for sexual assault before they arrived. Blake was armed with a knife but the offices did not initially see it. The officers first saw him holding a knife while they were on the passenger side of the vehicle. The officers made multiple requests to Blake to drop the knife but he was uncooperative. Offices used a Taser on Blake but it did not incapacitate him. Blake forcefully fought with the officers including putting one of them in a headlock. A second stun from a Taser did not stop him also. Based on the inability to gain compliance and control after using verbal, physical and less lethal means the officers drew their firearms. Blake continued to ignore the officers commands even with the threat of lethal force."

Sure a different picture than what his lawyer said. By the way his lawyer did not want to comment on their release.

Interesting

Everyone of these black men that have been shot all resisted--if they would have not resisted they all would have been alive today.

How about listening to the police?

. that. does. not. guarantee. you. wont. be. murdered. where. have. you. been the. last. 60. years

Anew Netflix series called Trial By Media is examining ?some of the most dramatic and memorable trials in recent history? through the lens of the idea that ?courtroom dramas have increasingly been transformed into a form of entertainment.?

One of its episodes is titled ?41 Shots? and it recounts the death of Amadou Diallo, a black man in New York City who was shot 19 times by four white NYPD officers. Here?s what you need to know about the trial and what happened afterward.

Diallo Was Shot Because the Officers Claimed He Resembled a Serial Rapi

February 1999, Diallo was returning to his building when four officers, dressed in plain clothes as part of the Street Crime Unit, approached him and fired 41 shots, hitting him 19 times. The officers said they thought he had a gun, which later turned out to be his wallet, and that he fit the ?general description? of a serial rapist, according to the New York Times coverage of the verdict.
The four officers in question were Kenneth Boss, 28, Sean Carroll, 37, Edward McMellon, 27, and Richard Murphy, 27. Officer Carroll was the first to notice Diallo and testified that the victim was ?acting suspiciously? and ?slinking? back to the stoop of the building. All of the officers testified they never considered the idea that Diallo might have lived in the building.

The jury deliberated for three days before acquitting the officers of second-degree murder.

In 2000, the serial rapist that the officers claimed to think was Diallo was tried and convicted of raping, sexually abusing, or robbing 29 women over five years in the Bronx, Manhattan, and Westchester County. He was sentenced to 155 years in prison, and during the hearing, Justice Joseph Fisch of the State Supreme Court said, Would Amadou Diallo be alive today were it not for your activities here in the Bronx??

Please show us all a video or evidence of a police detaining an innocent black person who was not resisting arrest and/or non complying and this said black person was killed.

Ps - we all know there was injustice 50-60+ years ago, but to portray today as if it were the 50s and 60s and prior is laughable.

As Marcellus Wiley said, "the courtroom isn't on the concrete."

THE NUMBERS SAY MORE WHITE PEOPLE ARE KILLED BY POLICE THAN BLACKS

BOTTOM LINE IF YOU FIGHT AND RESIST ARREST THE CHANCES OF YOU BEING SHOT INCREASE AND FOR SOME REASON THESE STUPID NIGERIANS DONT GET IT

NOBODY CAN ARGUE THE POLICE IN ATLANTA HAD EVERY RIGHT TO SHOOT THAT BONE HEAD THAT TOOK THEIR TASER HE GOT WHAT HE DESERVED

DONT RESIST AND YOU WONT GET KILLED

BEANTOWNJIM ALWAYS SUPPORTS THE POLICE I PLAY GOLF WITH A DEPUTY CHIEF ON THE BOSTON POLICE DEPARTMENT AND HE SAID ALMOST EVERY OFFICERS WILL GIVE YOU A BREAK BLACK OR WHITE AS LONG AS YOU DONT FIGHT AND ARGUE.AS SOON AS YOU FIGHT OR RESIST ARREST THEY WILL THROW THE BOOK AT YOU AND TESTIFY IN COURT.
