As of right now who is your selection to win the Kentucky Derby.

I am going with Consolidator I have liked him from day 1 and I am not getting off of him.

I know one prep race in april does not mean your gonna be wearing roses, but that was simply the best race I have seen from a horse since Cigar was running. Bellamy Road set really, I mean really, fast opening fractions and then if you look at his final closing fractions he was still going really fast. If a horse can burn it up in the early going and still find more endurance in the end it's gonna need bad luck to lose. The last thing that made this horse stand out was the gallop out after the race. He still wanted to keep running, was not wet, and it looked as if the horse was making a move to switch leads.......thats impressive.

I took a large future bet at +485. You are not gonna get that derby day.

i just started narrowing it down and now think im set on afleet alex.throw out the race in the rebel when he was sick,he would prob be the favorite to wear the roses.liked bandini s performance today also.he ll be in my gimmicks on that first saturday in may.im sure bellomy road will be the dreaded derby chalk, and you all know what that usualy meens.dont get me wrong he was obviously impressive.but seems the track variant was very low, alowing blistering times from him and some other horses that were running some of thier lifetime best times.combine that with a questionable field and im going to try to beat him with afleet alex. gl guys

Afleet Alex certainly must be given strong consideration. Has won 6 of 9 and been in the exacta 8 of 9.

As long as he stays together or does not get another "lung infection" he is certainly a top contender in my book.
