Sammy Sosa 4/14 .286 3 HR 7 RBI 1 BB 2 SO
Alex Gonzalez 5/13 .385 1 2B 1 HR 2 RBI 1 BB 2 SO
Mark Grudzielanek 4/8 .500 1 2B 1 RBI 2 SO
Damian Miller 4/7 .571 1 SO
Randall Simon 2/5 .400 1 SO
Aramis Ramirez 1/1 1.000 1 HR 1 RBI
Obviously for a lot of these guys the sample size is low, but it is fairly encouraging. Not as encouraging as this though:
Fogg's last start vs. Cubs 9/19 (last Friday)
2.1 IP 9 H 9 ER 2 HR 3 BB 0 SO
I think the early innings will tell the tale here. I don't expect Prior to give up more than 2-3 (at most); but the key is will the Cubs bounce back from a very disappointing loss last night or will they come out feeling deflated and lackluster. They need to jump on Fogg early or this one will be headed for the under.
Being a huge Cubs fan, I might actually take the Pirates +250 just 'cause I'll be so royally pissed if they lose.
