2-0 on the year as Sac and the Under were easy winners yesterday
New Orleans Hornets -4
Hornets are solid from top to bottom this year with addition of Courtney Alexander at SG. Jazz a shadow of their old team and the loss of Donny Marshall and Byron Russell with no "real" replacements is going to make for a loooong season in Utah. Too bad Malone and Stockton have to go out this way. By the 2nd half of the season, I look for both Stockton and Malone to either be worn down to nothing or on the IR. First game with basketball back in New Orleans tonite. The crowd alone should make this feel like Game 7 of the NBA Finals. The Hornets should respond to a "home" crowd as the last part of their season was like an away game every night after they announced they were moving and the "home" crowd turned on them. Hornets match up well with Jazz with PJ Brown, Magliore, Campbell all taking their shot at Malone. Baron Davis will handle the aging Stockton. With Russell and Marshall gone, I just don't see who is going to cover Mashburn and who is going to rebound? New Orleans should win this one by 10.
