Gatorbait, or anyone else who is a pro wrestling fan, I just want to say I thought that Angle vs. Shane McMahon match was probably the best match I have seen all year. Gator, I know you posted something after the dive Shane took onto Big Show a couple of months ago but this match was even better. What a great, brutal match. Man, I can't wait to see it again on the replay.

Mr. Douglas,
You beat me to it!! Shane is stepping up and putting it on the line and asking all these stars to step up and follow his lead.. Fly and I were just watching and we said the exact same thing. Best match in awhile. Daddy must be proud. where was daddy tonite?

.....meeting with WCW officials. This is going to get real good here. Everyone should start watching as the WWF-WCW saga unfolds

Hey guys. Figured you'd love that match, too.

The word I am hearing is that WCW will be getting the Monday night time slot, possibly even as soon as tomorrow. The original plan was that the WCW invasion would start full force tonight but Lance Storm was booked on a Stampede Wrestling show promoted by Bruce Hart (Bret's bro) and so McMahon let Storm work there tonight as a favor and supposedly the invasion will start in earnest tomorrow.

It should be interesting, but to tell you the truth I am disappointed with the WCW angle so far. Letting DDP get punked like that makes him look like too much of a chump and WCW is looking too minor league right now.

The only other dirt I have is the most recent plans were for a 5 vs. 5 match next month at Fully Loaded. I think if they get the right guys for that match it should be super so let's see where that goes.

Realize of course that Shane McMahon must take those excessive "bumps" because he was never a "wrestler" but someone who had a job because of his father...so to be accepted by the "boys" in the back he must go the extra mile by taking "Mick Foley" type "bumps". But to answer the thread that was the best match the WWF had in a long time...

P.S Didn't the SCSA match end on a strange note--shouldn't Austin have crawled over to Jericho to pin him...Benoit hit an offensive move right before that ...Just a thought

The end to the main event was a bit odd. It almost looked like Austin was legit chaken up in there.

I think Shane partially takes big bumps to gain acceptance from the boys but remember, big bumps get you over, plain and simple. There are probably a few dozen guys in that locker room willing to take those same bumps to get over. Shane needs to be as over as possible to startup WCW (where I think Angle will be the top star, btw) and I think that is more of why he does it.

Word is shane has gotten so tough. He took to pain killers and was ready to go the next night. I wonder if those guys just didn't hit him as hard as we think.

Austin's hand was really messed up from the fall he took from Booker T. The match may have ended early due to that fact.

He pinned Benoit and not Jericho to keep heat on Jericho. Benoit is gonna be out awhile with injuries of his own.

By the way Shane is crazy. He let Angle drop him on his head way too many times last night.

I know Austin's hand was injured but I doubt they ended the match early. It is possible but the ending made sense given the Benoit injury angle.

I don't think there will be much heat on Jericho for the WWF strap. If you notice his screen time has gone way down in recent weeks. I think the WWF figures he is not ready for a title run or long term title feud.

Personally I think the WCW invasion has been completely botched. Heel Vince vs. face Shane but then they make out the midcarders to be faces in their run-in, getting rid of Booker T who acted like a babyface. And the UT vs. DDP angle just got a little bit lamer tonight, I think. How far away is that bikini footage with Sara to try to make another Sable? Too bad this one is a butterface.

Is wrestling real or fake?

Jimmy Superfly Snooka from the isle of Tonga was my favorite. Is he still around? How about George the Animal Steele? How about Uncle Elmer? Much better than the panty wastes in wrestling now.

Nick, I have told u that Hillbilly Jim lives here, haven't I? Can u believe that when he graduated from high school he was 6'5" 175? He was quite the basketball player. He would have dominated your Wisconsin assssssssss just like ME

SixFive Same here Had two it was fun. May do another one. I like to save a little get-em 4/5 years old and then play with them. Heck up here no one drives them in winter. You can get one here 5 years old with only 20000 on it. Well this spot about wwf/wcw so we better stay off the vetts. Will talk more another time.
