Outright plays (total stake per play: 2pts)

Wayne Levi to win 14/1 e.w. @ Bet365 and Paddy Power
Persevering with Levi even though he rather wilted under the pressure last week. But with his finishing positions reading 5th, 5th, 7th, 6th, 14th, 2nd and 3rd this year, he is certainly backable on current form alone at these odds. It is no suprise that he is ranked 1st in scoring average on Tour this year. Add in a top-3 finish on this course last year and a further top-3 finish in Texas last October and even a wobbly Levi is worth an interest.

Morris Hatalsky to win 20/1 e.w. @ BetInternet
Not as consistent as Levi, but with four top-10 finishes in his last five starts, Hatalsky is another in good form and ranks in the top-10 in scoring average. He finished alongside Levi in 3rd position last year and was 7th the year before, so should certainly be one of the main contenders this week.

D.A. Weibring to win 25/1 e.w. @ SkyBet and BetInternet
A third selection who ranks in the top-10 on Tour in scoring average, money leaders and all-round ranking so should feature on the leaderboards most weeks. With three top-10 finishes in his last four starts and a top-10 finish on this course last year, this should be another leaderboard finish for Weibring.

Larry Nelson 66-1 e.w at g.g
Jerry Pate 66-1 e.w at g.g

MCnulty has pulled out, which helps a little. Nelson defending champion and really think Pate will win soon.

Matchup plays (2pts):

Don Pooley to beat Larry Nelson +103 @ Five Dimes
Have consistently opposed Nelson this year on the basis of the change in Tour Card policy and have been successful every time. The real test comes this week as he is the defending champion, but it means that he is a false favourite. These two have played in five common events this year and Pooley has won every time with the last three margins of victory being eight, twelve and seven shots. I'll gladly take these odds on a false underdog.

Bart Bryant to beat Allen Doyle -111 @ Centrebet and SuperOdds
A relative youngster against who is well past his prime. Doyle was always very consistent even when no longer particularly competitive, but with finishes of 49th, 50th and 35th, plus 23rd in a limited field event, he is struggling to remain the regular top-20 player that he has been in recent seasons. That has been the mark reached by Bryant in his last three starts and was in the top-30 in his other starts this year, so having finished ahead of Doyle in three of their last four common events and having finished 37th in the Texas Open on the PGA Tour as late as last year, I'll side with "youth" over experience in this match.

Good call LIA

Outrights - FINAL RESULT: 1-2; -1.50pts

Levi 3rd
Hatalsky 9th
Weibring 18th

D?v? vu! For the second week in a row, Levi had the lead heading in the final round and stumbled his way to an over-par round. Will really need to get better odds to justify backing him again! Hatalsky almost brought the event into profit, but finished the event, just as he had been for most of Sunday, two shots outside the payout places.

Matchups - FINAL RESULT: 1-1-0; +0.00pts

Pooley/Nelson LOST by 1
Bryant/Doyle WON by 14

Was looking good for a sweep until Nelson stood on the 8th tee on Saturday. In the next eleven holes, he had eight birdies! He returned to his normal 2005 form thereafter, but it was enough to give him just enough cushion over Pooley.
