While most boxing betting fans were expecting to see two heavyweight fights this month, they?ll have to live with the motto less is more.

Many of us were hoping to finally see the Ruslan Chagaev-Nikolay Valuev rematch after Chagaev?s delayed the second bout but the fight scheduled for earlier this month was canceled after Chagaev failed a medical requirement for the fight.

The other main event to take place was supposed to be the Wladimir Klitschko-David Haye fight, which was highly anticipated after Haye disrespected the Klitschko brothers, but that fight was also canceled because Haye was injured.

So we?re left with a Chagaev-Klitschko fight, which may have been the next fight we would see anyways as Klitschko was expected to beat Haye and many pundits felt that Chagaev would take care of Valuev.

Nonetheless, sportsbook odds makers have set the lines for Saturday?s fight and Klitschko is a gigantic favorite.

Chagaev, known as The White Tyson, doesn?t have many advantages in this fight. Against Valuev, Chagaev had a good chance to win but against the Klitschko, the best fighter in the heavyweight division, Chagaev doesn?t have much more than a puncher?s chance.

While Chagaev?s punches do pack power, he won?t have the mobility or intelligence edge that he would have over the slow and lumber Valuev.

Klitschko is the smartest fighter in the division ? and possibly all of boxing ? which means that he is going to be very cautious of the power punches and will surgically pick Chagaev apart.

Klitschko has better defense, better mobility and more experience than anyone Chagaev has fought, which is a package that might be too much for Chagaev to overcome.

The one x-factor will be the motivation to win this fight by both of the fighter. Chagaev is really hungry to win this fight because it means a lot to him. For Klitschko, it?s just one more mediocre boxer to take care of in the sloppy heavyweight group, which means he might not be fired up to get the job done.

Betting management is obviously important, so laying -750 may not be the best idea, especially with a fighter who might not be too inspired to win this fight. But at the same time, Klitschko has so many edges in this fight that he really won?t have to be at 100% to win it.

BetOnline Sportsbook Betting Pick: Klitschko via 8th-round TKO.
